About the role

We are looking for our next Hotel Lobby all-rounder!

This role will suit a well-rounded hospitality professional with the flexibility and experience to work a variety of shifts through the week including weekends.

The successful candidate will have had previous experience working in reception/front desk/reservations. While not essential, previous experience and understanding of the Opera Cloud system will be highly regarded. We are also keen to hear from those who have great coffee-making skills and have a genuine interest in creating 'WOW' moments for our guests.

When it comes to Front Office — excellent communication, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, high standard of personal grooming, and a professional, friendly and helpful demeanour are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responding to all incoming reservations, calls, emails and enquiries from guests, travel agents and corporate companies regarding accommodation at Alex Hotel

- Managing various aspects of the Hotel Lobby - this includes making barista coffees, attending to guests at the front desk, and ensuring Lobby cleanliness

- Communicate guest special requests to relevant teams throughout the hotel including VIPs

- Communicate guest complaints to hotel management and assist in investigations and resolutions

- Be an expert on the hotel rooms, room rates and packages available and upsell when possible

- Some F&B; service, namely Breakfast, Lobby Bar and Room Service.
