SMALL GROUP WALKING ROLE - IMMEDIATE START

We are searching for our next doggie devotee and walking legend to join our amazing MDEA Balmain team. We are not looking for someone who would like to spend their days with dogs we are looking for someone who is passionate about spending their days having fun with dogs long term. This will need to shine through from our first meeting.

What you will bring to our team

OUR DOG TRAINING ROLE (Only applicants with formal qualifications in dog training will be considered for our training roles)

We're looking to expand our Dog training offering in Sydney and are on the lookout for passionate and hardworking individuals to join our training team. Servicing greater Sydney we are looking for two trainers currently. The majority of our clients are located in Sydney's Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, Sydney North and Ryde areas.

The primary purpose of the role will be to deliver one-on-one training walks. These walks are designed to reinforce and implement behavior modification programs and provide enrichment to dogs who otherwise would not be suitable for group walks. There is a lot of room to express your personal training style whilst embracing our effective training style.



We operate with a high level of service, feedback to all our clients whilst understanding their daily life and implementing a training plan to suit the dog and the owner's daily life.

Trainers with the relevant level of qualifications and experience will also have the option to conduct in-home meet and greet and training consultations working with head trainers to develop the perfect training plan for our clients.

The ideal candidate will have:

- 12 months experience working with dogs in a training or handling role

- excellent skills in reading dog behaviour and body language

- confident driver with their own vehicle

- strong interpersonal and communication skills

- willingness to travel Sydney wide

- ability to work rain, hail or shine

- excellent understanding of dog obedience training and a broad spectrum of training techniques

- Certificate IV or equivalent qualifications highly regarded (NDTF etc) however aptitude and attitude are the most important. We can support you in formalising your experience if desired and applicable

- MUST HAVE YOU OWN CAR TO TRAVEL BETWEEN CLIENTS.
