About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma of Community Services Trainer to join our training team. This is an exciting opportunity for an industry-experienced qualified who is committed to supporting students to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required for a successful career in community services. You will deliver engaging, high-quality training and assessment in accordance with the relevant Vocational Education and Training (VET) standards and our organisation's policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities
Deliver engaging training and assessment for the Diploma of Community Services.
Facilitate face-to-face and/or online classes.
Develop and maintain quality learning and assessment resources.
Provide constructive feedback and support to students throughout their studies.
Assess student competency in accordance with training package requirements.
Maintain accurate student records and assessment documentation.
Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
Maintain current industry knowledge and ensure training reflects contemporary community services practice.
Support students from diverse backgrounds to achieve successful learning outcomes.





About you
A relevant qualification at Diploma level or higher in Community Services or a related discipline.
A current TAE qualification meeting the requirements for delivery and assessment in the VET sector.
Relevant industry experience in community services.
Experience delivering and assessing vocational education and training, preferably at Diploma level.
Solid knowledge of the Australian Community Services sector.
Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
A student-focused approach and commitment to quality education.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative training team.
Current knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and industry practices.
