Your new role
An opportunity has become available for an experienced finance professional to lead financial reporting, assurance and audit activities within a high-performing finance team.
As the Financial Reporting & Assurance Manager (EL1), you will:
Lead month-end and year-end financial reporting
Manage the preparation of statutory financial statements
Oversee financial controls, reconciliations and assurance activities
Coordinate external audit requirements and ANAO engagement
Review cash flow forecasts, journals and fixed asset reporting
Prepare Audit & Risk Committee and executive reporting
Provide technical accounting advice to senior stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement across financial frameworks and processes

The role is available in Canberra, Brisbane or Sydney.

What you'll need to succeed
Must be an Australian citizen with a baseline security clearance.
You'll bring:




Experience preparing statutory financial statements
Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and CBMS
Experience working within Commonwealth or complex government environments
Strong financial control, audit and assurance capability
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
The ability to lead, coach and develop staff
