We are looking for full time and part time retail assistants. If you have a keen interest in mechanical things, such as motorbikes, cars, engines or boats this job would suit you.

We require staff who can work weekends.

A background in batteries, mechanics or similar industries is required and we will provide further on-the-job training. You must have had some retail experience. This job is a combination of retail sales and fitting car/boat and other mechanical batteries.

Applicants with a background in auto electrical work OR auto mechanical experience/skills are preferred and would be viewed as having an advantage.





Battery World Auburn is a current franchise in the state and is growing rapidly hence the role requires you to be a positive, energetic retail assistant with an enthusiasm to learn on the job.

The role:
Retail sales
Preparing batteries for sale
Testing and replacing car, boat and motorcycle batteries
Preparing for start of day
Helping with orders and stock
A typical working week is up to 40 hours per week

Required skills and experience:
Must be fit and energetic. You’ll be required to fit batteries in cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles.
Must have current drivers licence living in the Fremantle or Claremont area or surrounding suburbs is preferred.
Retail experience
An understanding of basic mechanics and batteries
Basic computer skills in order to operate Point of Sale (POS) system
