CostMEI is a specialist MEI cost engineering consultancy working across Australia and APAC, with deep capability in mechanical, process plant and infrastructure. We are looking for a mechanical estimator in Brisbane to join our senior team and grow with us.

You will prepare estimates across all stages of project development, from early budgeting with limited information through to contract negotiation and variation assessment. You will be mentored directly by our senior estimators and directors, learning the methods and proprietary tools that set CostMEI apart.

We are also open to less experienced candidates ready to get off the tools. If you have worked in mechanical trades, piping, process plant construction or maintenance, have solid computer skills, and want to move into a commercial estimating career, we will train you in the craft.

What you'll bring:
3+ years in estimating, mechanical engineering, piping, process plant, or mechanical trade/delivery




Robust technical grounding in mechanical and/or process plant work (oil and gas, water, waste to energy, minerals processing, power generation or similar)
A commercial, problem solving mindset, able to find solutions when information is incomplete
Willingness to learn estimating software (e.g. Expert Estimator, Candy, CATS) and our tools
Ability to work in a close knit team, supporting others and drawing on the experience around you
Eligible to work in Australia; open to interstate and occasional international travel
