The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented Apprentice Welder to join our Woodville North plant.
This full-time, permanent position offers an immediate start and the chance to work on a diverse range of projects in the design, manufacture and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders.

Key responsibilities

Apprentice Fitter:
Assist in fabrication and weld hydraulic cylinders to Australian standards
Assist to interpret engineering drawings and follow instructions with precision
Collaborate effectively with the Welding Supervisor, Operations Manager, and workshop team
Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship
Assist to create and compile accurate and concise service reports
Assist the Hydraulic technicians as directed
Ensure workshop is kept neat and tidy




Ensure a secure working environment and report any safety incidents or concerns to the Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S; requirements
Contribute to the participative arrangements and communication strategies for managing OH&S; risks in the workplace

About you
Progression and eagerness to work towards a trade qualification
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
Reliability, honesty and integrity in your approach to your work
Team player attitude, sharing information and willingly assisting others to achieve common objectives
Positive customer service skills
