The 75-seat venue combines a casual bar area, intimate restaurant, and private function spaces, with an established modest food turnover with aims to grow. You'll have the autonomy to develop the menu, refine the offering, and build a kitchen culture that reflects your standards - whether that's pursuing a hat or maintaining quality without the accolades pressure. The front-of-house team is robust and knowledgeable, and you'll report directly to the partners.

Preferred Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a modern Australian or contemporary bistro setting
Strong menu development and costing skills, with the ability to balance creativity and commercial viability
Demonstrated leadership and kitchen management experience, including staff training and rostering
Knowledge of wine pairing and the ability to work collaboratively with a beverage-focused front-of-house team

Preferred Qualifications
Formal culinary training or equivalent hands-on experience in a professional kitchen
Experience managing food costs and kitchen operations in a small-to-medium venue
