Trade Assistant – Casual Shutdown Work

We are currently looking for a Trade Assistant to support our team during 3–5 day shutdowns.

This is a practical, hands-on position working with mechanical equipment in a site environment.

What we offer
10–12 hour shifts, typically around 50 hours per shutdown
Starting rate from $40/hour

About the role

You will assist with mechanical work during shutdowns, helping the team complete tasks safely and efficiently.

What we’re looking for
Previous experience in workshops, construction, or mine sites
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment and tooling
Valuable awareness of site safety, PPE requirements,



and dropped object hazards
Reliable, team-focused, and able to work calmly under pressure
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
