Internally referred to as Coordinator - Growth Management

About the Role

Gympie Regional Council is seeking an experienced planning qualified to lead growth management initiatives that support housing, infrastructure and community development. As Coordinator Growth Management on a 16-month contract, you'll coordinate Council's Growth Management Program and shape the region's future.

Duties
Lead the development and implementation of Council's Growth Management Strategy
Coordinate structure plans and development frameworks for priority growth areas
Manage strategic planning projects from planning through to delivery
Provide expert advice on land supply, development sequencing and future growth opportunities
Build solid relationships with State Government agencies, developers, utilities and industry stakeholders

Skills & Experience
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management or related discipline
Experience in growth management, strategic planning or land use planning
Experience in the development of Master Plans and negotiation of Infrastructure Agreements




Strong knowledge of Queensland's planning legislation and planning frameworks
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence or ability to obtain one

Earn $120,225 to $127,632 plus 15% super, increasing to 16% by July 2027
