Cook / Kitchen Team Member – 38 KATSU Canberra Centre

38 KATSU is a busy Japanese comfort food restaurant located in Canberra Centre. We specialise in premium katsu, udon, soba, curry, donburi and other Japanese favourites, all prepared with a strong focus on quality, consistency and teamwork.

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our growing team. This is a quick-paced environment, and we're looking for someone who can work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high food and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities
Food preparation and service during busy lunch and dinner periods
Cooking and plating menu items according to company standards
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
Dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties when required
Receiving and storing deliveries
Assisting with stock rotation and food safety procedures
Supporting other kitchen team members as needed
Performing all reasonable kitchen duties as directed by management

Requirements
Previous kitchen experience preferred
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
Robust work ethic and positive attitude




Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good communication skills
High standards of cleanliness and personal presentation
Availability to work weekdays, weekends and public holidays
Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing manual tasks
