About the role
You'll work as an independent subcontractor (sole trader) providing paediatric occupational therapy services. Your caseload can be developed around your experience, interests, availability and preferred working locations. Sessions are primarily provided in clients' homes, schools, kindergartens and childcare settings, with referrals predominantly across North-East Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills. You'll have genuine autonomy over your work — choose your own days and hours, manage your own diary and accept or decline referrals based on your availability and preferred locations.
Key responsibilities
Paediatric OT assessment and intervention
Supporting sensory and emotional regulation, executive functioning, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, daily living skills, social participation and independence
Parent and caregiver education and capacity building using a collaborative and family centred approach
Collaboration with families,
schools and other members of the child's support team
Functional Capacity Assessments, progress reports, Assistive Technology and other NDIS documentation where appropriate to your experience
About you
A passion for working with children and their families
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
A commitment to Career development
2+ years' NDIS clinical paediatric experience
Robust clinical reasoning, communication and report-writing skills
Confidence working independently while valuing collaboration
Capacity for approximately 10+ billable hours per week
ABN and appropriate skilled indemnity/public liability insurance
NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance
Current First Aid and CPR
Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
