A brand current family-focused kids cafe is opening in Erina on the Central Coast in late September — and we’re looking for an experienced Venue Manager to lead the venue from day one.

This is a founding leadership role. You’ll be the face of the business for our customers and our team, with genuine end-to-end ownership of how the venue runs. Ownership will be closely involved strategically and financially, but you’ll be trusted to lead operations on the ground.

About the role

• Full operational leadership of the venue — admissions, cafe, and party bookings

• Lead, hire, train and roster the front-of-house team

• Own the customer experience and be the visible face of the business

• Manage supplier relationships, stock levels, and daily cash handling

• Oversee our booking and POS platform (Roller) and party coordination

• Support marketing initiatives and community engagement

• Report to ownership with weekly performance updates against agreed KPIs

• Maintain compliance across WHS, food safety, and child-safe practices

The schedule

• Full-time role, daytime trading only — no late-night dinner service

• Saturday and Sunday are core trading days (parties and family brunch)





• Hours and days off to be discussed with the right candidate — we’re open to structuring the working week around what best suits a sustainable rhythm for the role

• Annualised salary structure (no wage surprises, weekend loadings absorbed)

About you

• 3+ years’ experience in a venue management, assistant management, or senior supervisory role in hospitality, family entertainment, or a customer-facing retail environment

• Strong people leader — confident hiring, training and engaging a small team

• Comfortable being the face of the business with customers and staff

• Genuinely enjoys working in a family and child-focused setting

• Commercially minded — comfortable reading rosters against wage %, managing stock, tracking bookings

• Familiarity with hospitality POS or booking platforms (Roller experience a strong plus)

• NSW RSA and Food Safety Supervisor certificates (or willingness to obtain pre-opening)

• Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain pre-opening)

• Self-directed, trustworthy, and thrives with autonomy and clear accountability
