The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to step into an established practice generating approximately $1m in annual fees and take genuine ownership of its future.

Our client is a growing Brisbane law firm with an existing commercial practice, robust client relationships, established referral networks and quality workflow.

The Role

You'll work across a broad commercial practice including:
Commercial contracts
Business sales and acquisitions
Shareholder and structuring advice
Corporate advisory
Procurement and leasing
General commercial transactions and advisory work

Beyond the technical work, you'll take responsibility for the practice by:
Leading and developing junior lawyers
Managing key client relationships
Building on existing referral networks
Identifying opportunities across the firm's client base
Helping shape the strategy and future growth of the practice

About You

This chance will ideally suit an experienced Senior Associate or Special Counsel with approximately 8+ years' PAE.





You will be:
Technically strong across commercial advisory and transactional work
Capable of managing matters autonomously
Experienced in supervising and developing junior lawyers
Commercially minded and confident with clients
Interested in business development and growing existing relationships
Ready for greater ownership and leadership responsibility

You do not need to bring a significant client following. More important is your ability and appetite to take an established practice and make it your own.
