Job Description
About The Position
n
Caneland Dental is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis, working a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
n

Our dentists and team are passionate about providing high-quality treatment while ensuring every patient feels comfortable, supported and well cared for throughout their experience.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians and gain exposure to a variety of dental procedures, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to build their skills and continue developing their career in dentistry.

Key Responsibilities
n
n
Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort.
n
Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area.
n
Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised.
n
Patient Education:
Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care.
n
Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience.
n
Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.

What Do You Need To Succeed
n
n
Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is essential
n
A Cert III or IV in Dental Assisting is beneficial but not mandatory
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced workplace
n
Capability to address patient concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and empathy
n
Attention to detail
