The Role
An exciting prospect is available for an accomplished Head Chef to own the culinary direction and day-to-day kitchen operations of this premium destination venue.
You will lead from the front, overseeing menu development, kitchen performance, food quality, financial controls and the development of a passionate culinary team.
Working closely with ownership and the wider management team, you will have the opportunity to shape menus around outstanding seasonal produce while continuing to evolve the venue’s food offering.
This role suits a creative yet commercially minded Head Chef who understands that exceptional food needs to be backed by robust systems, consistency, cost control, and effective leadership.
Skills & Experience
To be successful, you will bring:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or an experienced Senior Sous Chef ready to take ownership of a kitchen
Experience within premium restaurants, wineries, hotels or destination dining venues
A genuine passion for up-to-date Australian cuisine, seasonality and local produce
Strong menu development and food costing capabilities
Commercial understanding of COGS, labour management and kitchen profitability
