About the Role

Haynes are seeking an experienced Parts Advisor in Mackay to join an ever-growing team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering top-tier customer service and ensuring clients receive the right parts at the right time - you'll help maintain the client's reputation for reliability, accuracy, and service excellence.

Pay Rate: $45/hr
Type: Casual – Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:
Provide accurate parts interpretation and advice to customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders
Respond to phone, email, and counter enquiries in a professional and timely manner
Process customer orders and manage backorders
Drive parts sales through proactive upselling and cross-selling opportunities
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Support inventory management activities, including forecasting, stock monitoring, and replenishment
Assist with stock takes and warehouse functions as required
Ensure timely supply of parts to support workshop operations
Promote genuine parts and aftermarket product solutions
Maintain accurate records and reporting requirements




Contribute to a safe and productive workplace environment

About You:
Previous experience in Parts Interpreting, Parts Sales, or a similar automotive, truck, transport, or equipment industry role
Robust mechanical aptitude and understanding of diesel engines and related components
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships
Robust computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive approach to sales and customer engagement
Certificate in Parts Interpreting (desired)
Forklift Licence (advantageous but not essential)
