Superfish Swim Schools is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Assistant Manager / Pool Deck Supervisor to join our Sunnybank team.
This is a hands‐on leadership role, supporting the Centre Manager with the day‐to‐day operation of the swim school while also helping maintain high standards across the pool deck.
The role is ideal for an experienced swim teacher, deck supervisor or assistant manager who loves working with children and families, enjoys being part of a busy team, and is ready to take the next step in their career.

About the Role
As Assistant Manager / Pool Deck Supervisor, you will work closely with the Centre Manager to help keep the centre running smoothly.
Your role will include a mix of administration, customer service, pool deck supervision, teacher support and some in‐water teaching.
Most of the role will be focused on operations and deck supervision, with approximately 2–3 teaching shifts per week, or as the business requires.
You will help support teachers, monitor class quality, communicate with parents, assess student progression, assist with safety and supervision, and help coordinate staff cover when required.
When the Centre Manager is not present, you will help take responsibility for the smooth running of the centre.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting the Centre Manager with the daily operations of the swim school
Providing friendly and professional customer service to families
Supervising the pool deck and supporting teachers during lessons
Assessing student progress and helping recommend level movements




Helping maintain high standards of teaching, safety and class quality
Communicating clearly with parents, teachers and management
Assisting with general administration duties
Helping coordinate staff cover and shift changes where needed
Teaching swimming lessons as required, including Babies & Toddlers
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is bubbly, reliable, organised and confident working with both children and parents.
The right person will have a positive attitude, strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and professional in a busy swim school environment.
You will enjoy being part of a team, supporting others, and helping create a safe, fun and welcoming experience for every family.
Previous swim teaching, pool deck supervision or assistant manager experience is highly regarded.
However, attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are just as important.
Requirements
Current CPR
Current Blue Card
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well in a busy, team‐focused environment
Weekend availability, particularly Saturday and Sunday mornings, is highly regarded
