We are seeking an experiencedApplication Developerto design, develop, enhance, and support business applications used within a manufacturing and engineering environment.
This is a hands-on development role for someone who can take ownership of applications throughout the full development lifecycle—from understanding business requirements and designing solutions through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
The ideal candidate brings strongC#/.
NET and SQL Server experiencealong with the ability to troubleshoot production applications, improve existing systems, and work directly with both technical and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Application Development:
Design, develop, test, and deploy business applications usingC#/.
NET technologies.
Develop and enhance applications utilizingASP.NET MVC and/or .
NET Core.
Work extensively withMicrosoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including database design, queries, indexing, and application data requirements.
Support and maintain applications hosted withinIIS environments.
Develop new functionality and resolve bugs within existing business applications.
Refactor and modernize existing applications to improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Software Delivery & Production Support:
Own assigned development work through requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
Troubleshoot production application issues using logs, system information, and other diagnostic tools.
Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions that prevent recurring application issues.
Participate in application releases, change management, and deployment activities.
Maintain appropriate testing, documentation, release notes, and rollback procedures.
Development Practices:
Work withGit-based source controland modern software development workflows.
Participate in code reviews and maintain strong standards around code quality, security, and documentation.
Develop and maintain unit and integration testing.
Contribute toCI/CD, deployment automation, and environment managementinitiatives.
Apply secure coding practices related to authentication, authorization, input validation, and application security.
Application Modernization & Integration:
Support modernization of legacy applications and internal business tools.
Assist with application integrations, APIs, and service-based architectures.
Participate in technical design discussions and solution reviews.
Evaluate development approaches based on scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
Associate degree inInformation Technology, Computer Science, Software Development, or a related fieldwith 3+ years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with approximately 2–4 years of relevant experience.
Strong professional development experience withC# and .
NET.
Experience withASP.NET MVC and/or .
NET Core.
Strong experience withMicrosoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
Working knowledge ofIISand web application deployment.
Experience withGit/source control and modern development workflows.
Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and software quality practices.
Ability to troubleshoot and support applications in a production environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to translate business needs into effective software solutions.
Experience supporting applications withinmanufacturing, industrial, engineering, or distribution environmentsis preferred.
Exposure to APIs, system integrations, legacy application modernization, CI/CD, or DevOps practices is a plus.
