Palaris is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Mining Geologists operating through their own consulting businesses to join our preferred subcontractor network.
We provide specialist mining consulting services to clients within the coal and minerals mining industry across Australia and internationally.
As our project portfolio continues to expand, we are looking to establish relationships with highly capable Mining Geologists who can support a range of projects on a versatile, project-by-project basis.
About the Opportunity
Successful applicants may be engaged as independent subcontractors to provide technical expertise across a variety of coal resource evaluation and geological consulting assignments.
We have several projects underway or commencing shortly that we need to resource, work can commence quickly.
Project work may include:
Coal resource estimation and reporting
Geological modelling and interpretation
JORC-compliant Mineral Resource reporting
Resource reviews and audits
Competent Person sign-off and reporting support
Resource reconciliation and mine geology support
Feasibility study and technical report preparation
Data analysis, QA/QC reviews, and geological assessments
Assignments may vary from short-term technical reviews through to longer-term project engagements and may be undertaken remotely, onsite, or through a hybrid arrangement.
Opportunities may arise across Australia and in international coal mining jurisdictions.
Subcontractor Requirements
We are particularly interested in geologists whose value extends beyond producing a model or completing a report.
Our clients rely on us to form an independent view, identify the issues that matter and explain what the geology means for the resource, mine plan and broader project.
Applicants must operate as an independent consulting business and be capable of providing services on a subcontract basis.
To be considered, applicants must:
Operate under a registered business entity and hold a current ABN
Maintain current and adequate:Professional Indemnity Insurance (not essential in some cases)
Public Liability Insurance
Workers Compensation Insurance (where applicable)
Be responsible for their own taxation, superannuation, and business obligations
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Geology or Earth Sciences
Demonstrate significant experience in coal resource estimation, geological modelling, and resource reporting
Have experience with industry-standard software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Minex, Datamine, or similar platforms
Be willing to execute a subcontractor agreement and confidentiality agreement as required
Provide professional references upon request
