With this unique offering and continued growth, Cumberland City Council is now seeking an experienced professional to manage and lead delivery services for their open spaces division.
About The Opportunity
The successful candidate will have strong delivery experience leading community-based services including sports facilities, recreational facilities, playgrounds, sports grounds, park maintenance and open space planning.
The Manager City Open Spaces will lead and manage a multi-disciplined customer focused division of over 100 dedicated staff working at established and recent facilities across the Cumberland City Council area.
Tertiary qualifications in a related technical field or management,



combined with extensive relevant senior level experience
Experience in high level managing of delivery services in an operation-based organisation
Proven ability to deliver a range of services across a diverse spread of disciplines
Supervisor ability, listening, co-ordinating, motivating, prioritising, assessing, problem solving, customer service and teamwork
Ability to oversee the financial management of the Open Space team including budget preparation and maintenance
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of the Local Government environment is desirable, but not essential.
Reporting into the Executive Manager City Operations, a competitive remuneration package is on offer for the successful candidate.
