Working0.6 FTE / three days per week, this is an excellent portfolio opportunity for an experienced GP, Medical Officer or Medical Advisor looking to combine clinical practice with senior advisory work.

The Role
As Senior Medical Advisor, you will provide expert medical advice and clinical oversight within a complex healthcare setting.
Working within an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, risk management and the review of complex healthcare matters.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and chairing clinical case review forums
Reviewing complex clinical cases and providing evidence-based recommendations
Participating in incident reviews, clinical governance and risk management
Providing senior-level medical advice to key stakeholders
Preparing clinical reports, recommendations and briefing material
Contributing to health policy,



procedures and governance frameworks
Supporting quality improvement and clinical assurance initiatives
Analysing health data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
Collaborating with internal and external healthcare stakeholders
About You
We are looking for an experienced medical professional who enjoys the broadergovernance, quality, risk and strategic aspects of healthcare.
You will require:
Currentunrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
Fellowship withRACGP, ACRRM or another relevant specialist medical college
Significant experience as aGeneral Practitioner, Medical Officer or Medical Advisor
Strong understanding of clinical governance, healthcare quality and risk management
Experience reviewing complex clinical matters and providing evidence-based advice
Excellent written communication and clinical report-writing skills
Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation capability
Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid or remote environment
Experience withingovernment, public health, correctional health, defence health, occupational health, healthcare policy, accreditation or clinical governancewill be highly regarded.
An existingAustralian Government Baseline Security Clearanceis advantageous; however, sponsorship can be considered for a suitable candidate.
