An opportunity has become available for a technically strong Senior Accountant to join one of Australia's leading investment and funds management groups.
Working within an established Brisbane team, you'll gain exposure to a diverse portfolio of investment entities within a highly regarded platform with significant FUM.
This is an accounting role at its core, but with exposure well beyond traditional corporate accounting.
You'll work across complex investment structures, transactions, capital movements and tax matters, alongside investment professionals, external advisers and an impressive national finance team.
For someone coming from Big 4 or a strong chartered setting, it's an opportunity to take your technical foundation into funds management and build genuine investment exposure.
THE ROLE
You'll take ownership of the accounting and compliance requirements across a portfolio of investment entities, with responsibilities including:
Monthly and quarterly accounting across investment entities
Financial statements, tax returns, investor tax statements and annual compliance
Accounting for complex investment structures and transactions
Investor capital calls and distributions, borrower drawdowns and repayments
Working alongside investment teams on new transactions and tax structuring
Reviewing transaction documentation and underlying investment structures
Liaising with external auditors, accountants and tax advisers
Improving processes, controls and systems across the finance function
Importantly, you're not simply producing accounts after the fact.




You'll be encouraged to understand the underlying investments and transactions you're accounting for.
ABOUT YOU
We'd particularly like to speak with CA-qualified accountants from Big 4 or leading chartered accounting firms who are looking to make a considered move into funds management and investments.
You may currently be working within Audit, Business Advisory, Private Clients or a similarly technical environment.
Alternatively, you may already have experience within funds, investment, property, or financial services.
You'll bring:
CA qualification and a strong technical accounting foundation
Strong accounting and tax knowledge
Exposure to complex entities, structures or transactions
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder skills
Commercial curiosity and an interest in investments
A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
An interest in technology, AI and improving finance processes
