The Opportunity:
We're seeking an experiencedMaintenance Fitter/Technicianto join ourBlack Swanmanufacturing site in Clayton South.Reporting to the Reliability & Maintenance Manager, this hands‐on role is responsible for executing preventative and corrective maintenance activities across the site to ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and support safe, effective production operations in fast‐paced FMCG environment.We are recruiting for a day shift fitter.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on production and utilities equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and perform timely repairs to minimise production downtime.
Respond to breakdowns with a strong focus on root cause analysis and long‐term solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS systems (e.g. MEX, Fiix), including work orders and parts usage.
Assist with the management of critical spare parts and consumables.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures, food safety and quality standards.
To Succeed With Us:
You'll bring a proactive, safety‐first mindset and strong mechanical capability, along with:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance role within manufacturing or FMCG environments




Strong mechanical fault‐finding and problem‐solving skills
Experience using CMMS systems (MEX, Fiix or similar is highly regarded)
Exposure to food manufacturing environments (desirable)
A high level of attention to detail, quality workmanship and effective communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
