Officer Plumbing Inspector - 12 months Fixed Term
Gympie Regional Council is seeking an experienced Plumbing Inspector to join our Plumbing Section for a 12-month fixed term full-time position.
Help ensure plumbing work across the community meets the required standards, legislation and codes.
Working under the supervision of the Coordinator Plumbing Section, you'll be responsible for assessing and inspecting plumbing applications, responding to customer enquiries and investigating customer requests.
You'll also contribute to reviewing and improving the section's policies and procedures.
Remuneration
Annual salary commencing at $101,066, plus up to 15% superannuation

What You'll Bring
Current Queensland Plumbers and Drainers Licence
Current Queensland C Class driver licence or above
Current General Construction Induction (White Card)




Sound knowledge and experience in plumbing assessment and certification, particularly for Class 1 and 10 buildings
Working knowledge of the Plumbing and Drainage Act ****, relevant regulations and industry codes
Robust communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, correspondence and written instructions
Ability to work collaboratively within a specialised team
Good computer literacy
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Criteria
Backflow prevention
On-site sewerage facilities
Solar and heat pump systems
Class 2-9 plumbing applications
Associate Diploma in Applied Science (Construction Hydraulics) or equivalent
