Make an Impact
As aYouth Disability Workerwith#TeamPossible, you will support young people with disability who are engaged with the child protection system within24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments.
Working under the guidance of a Case Manager, you will deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support that promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive life outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include
Supporting young people with daily living activities and personal care
Administering medications and attending medical appointments
Providing emotional and behavioural support using trauma-informed practices
Assisting with education,
employment, and life skill development
Facilitating community participation, cultural connections, and family contact
Creating safe and supportive environments that foster independence and confidence
What You Can Bring to the Team
Your experience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills will be invaluable in supporting young people as they transition into adulthood.
We're Looking For People Who Have
Minimum Certificate IV (or currently studying) in a relevant discipline, with Youth Work, Community Services, Human Services, or related qualifications highly regarded
Previous experience as a Youth Worker within a disability setting
Understanding and experience in trauma-informed practice
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals and aspirations
You Must Also Hold, Or Be Willing To Obtain
Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2)
Current First Aid and CPR CertificatesNational Criminal History Check (Fit2Work)
Open Driver's Licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance
