SO4 is seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Commercial Manager to join our Perth Head Office team. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing commercial, contracts, procurement and project controls functions across the business and supporting the successful delivery of our project objectives.
n
You'll work closely with senior leadership, contractors, suppliers and project teams to drive value, manage risk, optimise costs and ensure commercial decisions support business performance and growth.

The Role:
n
Leading the Commercial, Contracts and Procurement functions across the business
n
Developing and implementing commercial strategies that improve cost control, contractor performance and project outcomes
n
Managing contract and tendering activities, including negotiations, variations and dispute resolution
n
Overseeing procurement processes to ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently and cost effectively
n
Providing commercial insights, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making
n
Monitoring budgets, forecasts and financial performance
n
Building strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors and suppliers
n
Ensuring compliance with contractual, legislative and corporate obligations
n




Driving continuous improvement initiatives across commercial and procurement activities
n
Championing a strong safety culture and leading by example
n
What We're Looking For
n
Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce or a related discipline
n
10+ years' experience in commercial, contracts, procurement or operational leadership roles
n
Demonstrated success managing large-value contracts, commercial negotiations and supplier relationships
n
Strong understanding of contract law, procurement practices and commercial risk management
n
Experience overseeing OPEX and CAPEX projects
n
Excellent analytical, financial and reporting skills
n
Proven ability to influence, negotiate and communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
n
A hands-on leadership style with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams
n
Experience with procurement and ERP systems, ideally Pronto
n
