About the Role:
n
Due to significant growth in student enrollment in Economics, PLC Sydney is seeking an exceptional, dynamic, and collaborative Social Sciences Teacher (Economics) to join our high-performing team.
n
Working with enthusiastic and motivated students, you will have the space to innovate while helping drive the representation of women in economics. We provide a supportive, collegial environment where you can expand your practice and thrive alongside a passionate team.

Key Responsibilities & Capabilities:
n
n
Demonstrated experience teaching Stage 6 Economics, with the ability or willingness to teach Stage 6 Business Studies, Junior Geography, and Commerce.
n
Active involvement in designing, planning, and resourcing for the implementation of new syllabuses.
n
Experience in, or a willingness to deliver, IGCSE and/or A Level Economics will be highly regarded.
n
A strong commitment to promoting economic literacy and creating an engaging, inclusive environment that encourages young women to excel in the field.
n
A collaborative mindset to work alongside an established, enthusiastic, and supportive Economics team within a well-resourced department.

Selection Criteria:
n
n
Formal teaching qualifications and current NESA registration.
n
Proven track record of strong academic results and creative pedagogical practices in Stage 6 Economics.
n
High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to foster an inclusive, high-performing classroom environment.
n
n
You will need to provide a Working With Children Check Clearance Number and date of birth.
n
You will be required to support the Christian ethos of the College.
n
Applicants must hold current Australian work rights. This position is physically based on campus in Sydney, Australia.
