About Baillie Hill

Baillie Hill is an established hospitality and events precinct in East Victoria Park, bringing together restaurants, bars, community spaces, gardens and event spaces in one unique destination.
n
Since opening in early ****, Baillie Hill has quickly become a destination for dining, celebrations, weddings, private functions, community events and precinct-wide activations.
n
We're looking for an experienced and highly organised Functions & Events Manager to join our team and take ownership of the end-to-end events experience across the precinct.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, events and working with people, and who is looking for a role where they can have genuine ownership and influence.

As our Functions & Events Manager, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end functions and events operation across Baillie Hill - from the initial enquiry and event sales process through to planning, coordination, delivery and post-event follow-up.
n
You'll be the key point of contact for our clients, working closely with them to understand their vision and deliver a seamless and memorable event experience.

Our core functions packages, pricing and processes are established, providing a strong operational foundation. You'll also have the opportunity to continue developing and growing our private functions, corporate events, wedding and events offering as the business continues to evolve.
n
You'll work closely with our Venue Managers, FOH, kitchen and operations teams, as well as having the support of two part‐time/casual Admin & Functions Assistants who assist with administration, enquiries, bookings and event coordination.
n
This is a hands‐on leadership role suited to someone who is confident taking ownership, managing a busy events pipeline and delegating effectively,
while still being comfortable getting involved in the detail when required.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
Lead the end-to-end functions and events operation across Baillie Hill
n
Manage event enquiries, client relationships, site visits, quotes, proposals and bookings
n
Drive event sales and conversion, identifying opportunities to grow the functions and events business
n
Manage day‐to‐day customer enquiries, including table reservations and general venue enquiries
n
Lead and support our Admin & Functions Assistants, delegating tasks and overseeing the event administration process
n
Plan and coordinate private functions, corporate events, weddings and community events including developing event plans, run sheets, and timelines
n
Work closely with Venue Managers, FOH and kitchen teams to deliver seamless events and exceptional guest experiences
n
Oversee on‐site event delivery and contribute to precinct‐wide events, activations and ongoing development of the events offering
n
What You'll Bring
n
3+ years' experience in event management, functions or hospitality, ideally in a Functions Manager, Events Manager or similar role
n
Robust event sales, client relationship and communication skills
n
Experience managing multiple events and priorities in a fast‐paced environment
n
Experience leading or supporting a small team, with the ability to delegate and prioritise effectively
n
Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
n
Experience with event management or booking systems such as Function Tracker, Now Book It or similar
n
A proactive, solutions‐focused approach and genuine passion for hospitality, events and delivering exceptional customer experiences
n
What We Offer
n
$85,000 – $95,000 + superannuation, based on experience
n
Support from a dedicated team of Admin & Functions Assistants
n
Opportunity to further develop our wedding and events offering
n
Work across a diverse range of private, corporate and community events
n
On‐shift meals, staff perks and venue‐wide discounts
