Fund Accounting

Melbourne | Office based | $110,000 total package

An independent, non aligned trustee and fund services provider is appointing a Fund Accountant. The role sits inside a fund operations team, covering the core fund accounting cycle alongside genuine exposure to onboarding new clients and funds.

The business works across corporate trustee, custody, fund administration and debt capital markets, with clients spanning domestic and international fund managers.

The Role
n
n
Prepares and reviews daily, monthly and quarterly NAV calculations and unit pricing reports
n
Manages distribution calculations, taxable income reviews, and BAS/GST reporting
n
Reviews and validates fund accounting packs, reconciliations and financial statements
n
Coordinates with external fund administrators, fund managers and auditors on annual financial statements and ASIC lodgment
n
Supports the onboarding of new clients and funds into the business's fund administration system,



working alongside Custody, Unit Registry and Risk
n
Mentors junior team members and supports quality control across deliverables
n
n
Background Required
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, CPA preferred
n
3 to 5 years of fund accounting experience, ideally within a fund administration workplace
n
Understanding of Australian investment structures, tax regulations and compliance standards
n
Strong Excel skills and comfort with reconciliation tools
n
Comfortable working across BAU reporting and project style work as it arises
n
