Burke Shire Council is seeking applications for the position of General Labourer / Operator. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, variety in their day, and contributing to projects that directly benefit the local community.

About the role:
n
The primary purpose of this position is to support Councils Engineering Department, with a focus on assisting the Roads Construction and/or Maintenance team. You will work across a range of projects and may be required to assist with broader works operations, including roads, infrastructure, and depot activities, depending on operational requirements.
n
Duties may include:
n
n
Assist with road construction and maintenance works
n
General labouring duties across Council works
n
Operation of plant and equipment (where licenced)
n




Support depot and works operations as required
n
Maintain a secure and compliant work environment
n
n
What We're Looking For:
n
n
Experience in civil road works and/or general labouring
n
Road construction or RMPC experience (desirable)
n
HR, HC, MC or heavy machinery tickets (desirable)
n
Strong work ethic, reliability and ability to work as part of a team
n
n
