Job Description
We are seeking and experienced and commercially minded Accountant to join our growing business. This position is suited to someone who is comfortable managing day-to-day accounting functions while also providing accurate financial reporting, management information and support to business owners and senior management.

The successful candidate will be organised, detail-focussed and capable of working across multiple entities and business activities.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping across multiple business entities
n
Prepare monthly management account, profit & loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow reports
n
Complete bank and general ledger reconciliations
n
Prepare and review BAS, GST and other statutory reporting requirements
n
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and year-end accounts
n
Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation
n
Monitor business expenses, supplier payments and outstanding receivables
n
Prepare budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections
n
Analyse actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts
n
Prepare Management Reports identifying financial trends, risks and opportunities
n
Assist management with financial modelling and business decision-making
n
Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations between related entities
n
Liaise with enternal accountants, auditors, banks and other professional advisors
n
Support preparation of information required for taxation and compliance purposes
n
Review accounting processes and implement improvements to financial controls and reporting systems
n
Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Required Skills
n
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline
n
Minimum 3 Years relevant accounting experience preferred
n
Strong understanding of Australian accounting practices, GST, BAS and General Taxation Principles
n
Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
n
Experience in MYOB
n
High Level of Accuracy and Attention to detail
n
Solid analytical and attention to detail
n
Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
n
Strong Written and Verbal communication skills
n
Ability to work independently while collaborating with management and other departmen
n
Experience working across multiple companies, business divisions or related entities will be highly regarded
n
CPA/CA qualification, or progress towards CPA/CA qualifications will be viewed favourably
n
