Bornhorst + Ward is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Site Engineer to join our energetic Brisbane team. This is a hands-on role suited to a driven professional who thrives both on site and in the detail of contract administration, and who can confidently work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

With a strong pipeline of civil projects, we are looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and commercial awareness to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

About the Role
n
You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, from site coordination and technical delivery through to contract management and client liaison. Our projects include:
n
n
Bulk earthworks
n
Road construction
n
Carparks and hardstand areas
n
Residential subdivisions
n
Underground infrastructure services including stormwater, sewer and water reticulation
n
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day site activities
n
Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications
n
Review and interpret engineering designs and resolve technical issues on site
n
Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and local authorities
n
Ensure works are delivered in accordance with safety and environmental standards
n
Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior staff
n
n
Contracts Administration
n
n
Administer contracts in accordance with AS**** and AS****
n
Prepare, review, and manage progress claims, variations, extensions of time,



and payment schedules
n
Assist with procurement and subcontract management
n
Monitor project budgets and cost control measures
n
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
n
Support risk management and contractual compliance across projects
n
n
About You
n
The ideal candidate will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in civil construction and site works
n
Demonstrated experience in contract administration within civil projects
n
Strong understanding of civil design principles and construction practices
n
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
n
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to manage and support a project team
n

Qualifications & Requirements
n
n
Civil Engineering degree or Civil Engineering qualification (TAFE or equivalent)
n
RPEQ registration
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
White Card (Construction Induction)
n
