SENIOR CAMHS CLINICIAN –REGIONAL WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Salary: From $***** per hour + Superannuation + Living Away From Home Allowance assistance

Location: Regional Western Australia
n
Contract: Initial 12-week contract, with potential to extend

THEROLE
n
We are seeking experienced Senior CAMHS Clinicians to join a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team providing specialist mental health services to children, adolescents and their families across regional Western Australia. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-level clinical assessment, triage and intervention to young people aged 0–17 years experiencing acute psychiatric distress, self-harm, suicidal ideation and other complex mental health concerns. You will play an significant role in delivering timely, person-centred care and supporting positive outcomes for young people and their families. As a Senior CAMHS Clinician, you will:

Undertake comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, including clinical triage
n
Provide timely crisis intervention and evidence-based therapeutic support
n
Develop, implement and review individualised care plans
n




Coordinate referrals and care across community and health services
n
Work collaboratively with children, young people, families, schools and other healthcare professionals
n
Provide clinical consultation, advocacy and professional support
n
Contribute to service development, mental health education and community initiatives
n
Support early intervention and promote continuity of care across the region
n
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality clinical outcomes
n
n
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
AHPRA registration or eligibility for AASW
membership/registration
n
Advanced clinical experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health
n
Demonstrated experience in mental health assessment, triage and crisis intervention
n
Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act **** and community-based support services
n
Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
n
The ability to work confidently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
n
A current Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
Full working rights in Australia
n
