An exciting opportunity is available for an accomplished Development Directorto join a highly regarded property development and advisory business based in Brisbane CBD.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a development professional with a solid track record delivering complex and high-value property projects.
n
The business is open to candidates from retail, residential masterplanned communities and luxury apartment backgrounds. You don't need experience across all three sectors - the role and portfolio will be shaped around your strengths and experience.

About the Role
n
Reporting to senior leadership, you'll take responsibility for the strategic direction and delivery of major development projects from inception through to completion.
n
You'll be involved across the full development lifecycle, including:
n
n
Leading projects from acquisition and feasibility through planning, design, delivery and completion
n
Establishing development strategy, project objectives and commercial outcomes
n
Overseeing feasibility, budgets, cash flow and financial performance
n
Leading planning, approvals and authority strategies
n
Managing design and consultant teams
n
Overseeing procurement and delivery strategies
n
Managing project risks and commercial outcomes
n




Building relationships with consultants, authorities, partners and stakeholders
n
Leading negotiations and resolving complex project matters
n
Providing strategic advice to senior leadership
n
Mentoring and leading development teams
n
Identifying opportunities to maximise project value
n
n
About You
n
You'll be an experienced development professional operating at Development Director level.
n
You'll ideally have:
n
n
Extensive property development experience
n
Experience across retail, masterplanned communities and/or luxury apartments
n
Strong end-to-end development experience
n
Excellent commercial and financial capability
n
Experience delivering complex, high-value projectsStrong stakeholder and consultant management skills
n
Knowledge of planning, approvals, design and delivery
n
Proven leadership capability
n
Strong commercial judgement and the ability to work autonomously
n
n
A relevant qualification in property, development, construction, planning, engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
