DLi is seeking compassionate, experienced and motivated Female Community Support Workers to join our casual support team. We currently have opportunities available supporting a female participant in the Windsor Gardens area, with additional opportunities across Adelaide Metro.
This role is ideal for support workers who are passionate about empowering people with disability to live the life they choose while promoting independence, dignity and meaningful community participation.

About the Role
As a Community Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants across Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Participation and In-Home Support services.
You will work collaboratively with participants, families and support networks to assist individuals to achieve their goals, maintain independence and participate meaningfully in their communities.
Support may include:
Personal care and daily living assistance
Community access and social participation
Transport to appointments and activities
Medication assistance and health supports
Supporting participants with complex health needs
Building capacity and independent living skills
Meal preparation and cooking activities
Accurate record keeping and progress notes
A key interest of one participant is cooking and meal preparation, therefore applicants who enjoy cooking and supporting skill development in the kitchen will be highly regarded.
Shift Availability
We are seeking workers who can support a variety of shifts including:
Morning shifts
Day shifts
Afternoon shifts
Passive overnight shifts
Applicants available to work passive overnight shifts will be highly regarded.
As this is a casual position, shifts are allocated based on participant needs and operational requirements, and no minimum hours can be guaranteed.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:




A person-centred approach to support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
The ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster
Experience supporting people with disability and/or complex support needs
Essential Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Disability, Nursing, Community
Services or a related qualification
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Working with Children Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Current Manual Handling Training
Medication Administration certification
Mealtime Management training
Infection Control training
Evidence of Australian working rights
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle available for work purposes
Highly Desirable
Current Epilepsy Management Training including Midazolam administration
Current CPAP training and experience
MAPA (Management of Actual or Potential Aggression) training
Current CPI training
Protected Environment for Children and Young People training
Experience supporting participants with complex medical and behavioural support needs
