(Senior) Project Manager – Major Brownfields Capital Project
Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a significant brownfields growth capital project valued at approximately $150M. The project is currently in FEL3, with completion targeted for mid-****.
This is a 12 month initial contract with strong potential for extension for the right candidate.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering project outcomes across HSE, quality, cost and schedule, while managing internal and external resources to support safe, controlled execution across the full project lifecycle—from front-end studies through to construction, commissioning and close-out.
Location
Perth metro office-based in ****, with site travel as required (no FIFO)
Hours
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Project
This brownfields upgrade forms part of a broader growth program and includes:
Processing plant upgrade modifications
Procurement and installation of a new SAG ball crushing mill
Feeder bin and DSM screens
Early works and long-lead items that have already been funded and approved
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate project activities and resources to meet stakeholder expectations
Manage delivery across project phases, from front-end loading through to execution, construction and close-out
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Workplace Management Systems
Build and lead a high-performing project team, clarifying roles and driving accountability
Oversee front-end loading to required FEL standards,



including FEL2.1, FEL2.2 and FEL3
Drive best-practice project management through clear KPIs, disciplined governance and continuous improvement
Manage estimating, cost control, planning and scheduling with support from Project Services
Lead risk management activities, including regular threats and opportunities reviews
Manage change control, procurement governance and contractor performance
Ensure construction, commissioning and handover activities are well planned and safely executed
Lead operational readiness planning in collaboration with the asset owner and stakeholder groups
Lead and participate in independent peer reviews and post-project reviews
About You
You will be an experienced project management professional with proven brownfields delivery capability and exposure to complex industrial operating environments.
Ideal experience includes
Experience delivering chemical processing and/or minerals processing projects
Brownfields delivery experience across both front-end studies and construction execution
Demonstrated delivery of larger capital projects, ideally $100M+
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline
Typically ***** years' experience in industrial project management
PMP or equivalent certification desirable
