WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Senior Mine Surveyor at Norton Gold Fields, you are responsible for the supervision of survey control in the mining operation. Duties include measuring the total volume of material moved; pegging mining areas; measuring quantities of material blasted; surveying mining configuration; and, locating blast and explosive holes.
Coordinate Surface Survey Control Network installation and maintenance.
Ensuring Open Pit and waste dump are mined to design with the use of crest pegs, toe pegs, ramp pegs and TBMs.
Oversee compilation of Traffic Management Plans, Mine Plans and any other miscellaneous plans.
Review of stockpile surveys, volume and accident/incident surveys.
Coordinate infrastructure surveys and prism monitoring – installation, maintenance and reporting.
Collation and review of monthly plans in alignment with end-of-month reporting deadlines.
Act as a mentor & coach to junior members of the team and Graduates.
ABOUT YOU
At least 5 years
of survey experience in mining, preferably in a metalliferous Open-Cut environment
(Essential)

Current, unrestricted Western Australian Class "C" Driver's Licence
(Essential)
.
Hold a grade I or II Authorised Mine Surveyor's certificate
(Essential)
.
Hold a S26 certificate (Schedule 26) Statutory supervisor competency
(Essential)
.
Be in the process of obtaining this qualification or hold other relevant tertiary qualification for Mine Surveying (Desirable).
Good understanding of total station, GPS and drone operation (Desirable).
Proficiency with Trimble survey equipment and Surpac survey software (Desirable).
Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) up to 25kg (Desirable).
Basic knowledge of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations ****.
Comfortable communicating at all levels from operators through to management.
