The Opportunity
Ready to step into a leadership role where no two days are the same?
We're looking for a hands‐on Operations Supervisor to run day‐to‐day operations at a busy waste transfer station based in West Melbourne.
This is your opportunity to join an essential services industry, lead from the front, and play a key role in improving recycling, sustainability, and operational performance.
You will take ownership of daily site operations, ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Additionally, you will:
Lead and supervise operators.
plant drivers and site staff
Oversee waste receival and processing
Drive a strong safety culture through toolbox talks and visible leadership
Ensure compliance with EPA, safety and site licence requirements
Troubleshoot issues and keep operations moving
About You
We are looking for a practical, people focused leader who thrives in fast paced environments.
You will have:
Experience supervising teams in waste, recycling,



logistics, transport, or heavy industry
Strong leadership skills – you know how to motivate and hold teams accountable
Solid understanding of safety and environmental compliance
Ability to think on your feet and solve operational challenges
Comfortable working around mobile plant and busy industrial sites
Good communication and organisational skills
