Job Description
Talent Lab Co is partnering with a fast-sc Australian beauty portfolio seeking a commercially astute Procurement Manager to lead supplier negotiations, optimise COGS across multiple brands, and shape procurement strategy at a commercial and strategic level.

About the Role:
n
The Procurement Manager is a high-impact commercial role where you'll shape procurement strategy, negotiate with global suppliers, optimise COGS across multiple brands, and influence senior decision-making. This is a step into a commercially strategic role with real ownership and visibility.
n
You'll own procurement of all components required for production, lead supplier negotiations, manage cost-down initiatives, and drive procurement roadmap. You'll partner closely with Operations, Finance, Demand Planning and NPD to ensure supply reliability, margin protection and robust commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Own sourcing, ordering and delivery of raw materials, packaging and components to contract manufacturers
n
Align supplier lead times with production schedules and resolve delays before they impact manufacturing
n
Maintain visibility of component status to inform commercial decisions
n
Lead pricing, MOQ and contract term negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers, manage supplier scorecards, quarterly reviews and commercial performance
n
Run cost-down initiatives, competitive tenders and landed cost modelling
n
Build dual-sourcing strategies and manage supplier risk and compliance
n
Drive cross-brand COGS optimisation and structural cost reduction.
n
Shape procurement network strategy - supplier mix, markets and manufacturing partners
n
Own payment terms and working capital strategy with Finance
n
n
Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment
n
n
Align procurement planning to demand forecasts and safety stock policy
n
Provide commercial capacity planning ahead of launches and peak trading
n
Partner with Demand Planning, Finance and Operations on forecasting, S&OP; and budget inputs
n
n
NPD Commercial Support
n
n
Provide commercial feasibility, landed cost and lead-time input into NPD stage-gate
n
Scout packaging, materials and ingredient options with NPD
n
Identify cost-down opportunities early in development
n
Lead procurement-related commercial projects including supplier consolidation, category strategy and acquisition due diligence
n
Act as escalation point for significant commercial or supplier risk
n
n
Stakeholder Communication & Commercial Support
n
n
Serve as the primary commercial contact for suppliers and manufacturers
n
Support brand, marketing and sales teams with costing for promotions and new SKUs
n
Communicate commercial risks, cost pressures and mitigation options clearly to senior stakeholders
n
n
About You:
n
n
6+ years in either Procurement, Sourcing, Category management or similar within Beauty industry is a must!
n
Strong commercial negotiation experience with suppliers and contract manufacturers
n
Proven track record delivering cost-down initiatives and landed cost improvements
n
Experience building supplier scorecards and running structured business reviews
n
Skilled in sourcing packaging, materials or ingredient innovation with NPD teams
n
Strong analytical capability, able to build cost and landed cost models
n
Strategic thinker with clear communication skills and strong commercial judgement
n
Structured, solutions-oriented and thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments
