THE POSITION
n
n
Assist in the planning and preparation of food production across functions and in house menu-based catering
n
Actively maintain a high standard of food safety, allergen awareness, and OHS
n
Contribute to the development of menu ideas using local fresh ingredients
n
Assist in the mentoring of the kitchen team
n
Monitor and order stock and minimize food wastage
n

THE PERSON
n
n




Must have proven experience as a sous chef leading and mentoring other cooks/chefs in the kitchen
n
Minimum Cert. III Commercial Cookery
n
Must have or be able to obtain Working with Children Check
n
Experience with cooking healthy and nutritious food in bulk quantities
n
Strong understanding of allergen management and food safety
n
Experience in menu development and costing
n
A passion for delivering fresh and flavorsome food.
