Senior Mechanical / Piping Designer UGL – Fuels & Energy East | CIMIC Group Melbourne | Hybrid (3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH) | Permanent Full-Time

UGL's Fuels & Energy East business is seeking a Senior Mechanical / Piping Designer to support brownfield projects and asset maintenance programs across fuel terminals and petrochemical facilities. Working within our PEM&AM; contract, you'll collaborate with engineers, designers and project teams to deliver high-quality piping design solutions and P&ID; development, ensuring safe, efficient and fit-for-purpose outcomes. Key Responsibilities

Deliver mechanical and piping design using AutoCAD and CADWorx (2D/3D)
n
Develop and maintain P&IDs; using CADWorx P&ID;
n
Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings, isometrics and material take-offs (MTOs)
n
Build, review and coordinate 3D models, including clash detection activities
n
Support brownfield projects, including tie-ins, site inspections and as-built updates
n
Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project objectives and deliverables
n
Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards, client requirements and safety expectations
n

About You
n
n




8-10+ years of mechanical and piping design experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, refining or related industries
n
Strong expertise in both piping design and P&ID; development
n
Advanced proficiency with CADWorx and AutoCAD
n
Experience working in brownfield operating environments
n
Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills
n
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes across multiple projects
n
A proactive, team-oriented approach with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement
