n Surf Coast Shire Council is currently looking to fill an Early Childhood Teacher position at Jan Juc Pre School to commence in Term One ****. Ensure the provision of a high-quality education and care program that meets the approved learning frameworks and National Quality Standards set by the Victorian Government; and

Early Childhood Teacher Hours
n
37.5 hours per week
n 25 hours contact time (as below)
n plus 12.5 hours non-contact time
n
Contact time
n
Monday 8:30am to 4:00pm
n Tuesday 8:30am to 4:00pm
n Wednsesday 8:30am to 4:00pm
n Thursday 8:30am to 4:00pm
n Friday Planning
n

What you will bring to the role
n
We are currently looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who is compassionate, dedicated and driven to making a positive impact on the lives of our local community members and their families.
n
To thrive in this role you will have:
n
n
Knowledge of early childhood development and practice
n
Knowledge of approved learning frameworks, National Quality Framework and national law and regulations.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
n
Key selection criteria
n Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements
n
n
Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (AQECQA approved)
n
A current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (VIT)
n
Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate a quality educational program in accordance with approved learning frameworks.
n
Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework and quality improvement process in children's services.
n
Demonstrated ability to adopt an innovative, flexible approach to the provision of children's services.
n
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and contribute towards the development of a productive team culture.
n
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
n
A current level II First Aid qualification, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR.
n
Demonstrated understanding of the Child Protected Standards and information sharing/MARAM reforms.
n
Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.
n
