Our client is a large values-focused Federal Government Agency seeking 2 x Lead UX/UI Designers (EL1 level) to design accessible, user-centred digital products and improve digital experiences for participants, providers and internal users.

This role will suit senior UX/UI Designers with robust Figma, prototyping, stakeholder engagement, co-design and accessibility experience.
n
ROLE DETAILS:
n Location: Melbourne or Geelong VIC
n Contract: 12 months + 12-month extension option
n Working arrangement: Hybrid
n Security: Must be able to obtain Baseline
n Eligibility: Australian Citizen only

ABOUT THE ROLE:
n You'll design wireframes, prototypes, user flows and service artefacts, contribute to the NDIS Design System, facilitate co-design workshops and usability testing, and work with stakeholders to gather requirements and achieve formal sign-off. The role focuses heavily on accessible, scalable and consistent user experiences across digital products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
n

Design low to high-fidelity wireframes and prototypes aligned to system standards.
n
Primary focus on Mobile App and Web Portal design as well as Website.
n
Rapidly iterate, validate solutions, gather feedback and refine designs.
n
Contribute to design system patterns, components, interaction models,



accessibility standards and UX best practice.
n
Facilitate co-design workshops and usability testing with staff, providers and participants.
n
Gather and evaluate user requirements with product and business owners.
n
Create storyboards, process flows, sitemaps and service design artefacts.
n
Support requirements documentation including process maps, functional/non-functional requirements, change impacts and data/reporting considerations.
n
Produce design deliverables in line with project schedules.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
n
n
Experience eliciting UI/UX requirements through workshops, prototyping, observation, interviews or similar techniques.
n
Experience with Mobile Apps and Web Portals.
n
Contemporary knowledge of UX/UI methodologies.
n
Experience designing to accessibility requirements and WCAG guidelines.
n
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills, including with senior stakeholders.
n
3-5 years' experience working as a UX/UI Designer.
n
Experience using Figma to design user flows, wireframes and prototypes.
n
n
Desirable: mobile app and web portal design experience, design system experience, and enthusiasm for accessible design and development.
