About the Role
n
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead the day‐to‐day operations of our warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurately received, stored, managed and dispatched to support our customers and internal teams.
n
This is a hands‐on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, people leadership skills, inventory management expertise and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in ensuring Highgate delivers on its promise of speed, accuracy and reliability.

About the Role
n
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will lead the day‐to‐day operations of our warehouse, ensuring inventory is accurately received, stored, managed and dispatched to support our customers and internal teams.
n
This is a hands‐on leadership role requiring strong operational oversight, people leadership skills, inventory management expertise and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. You'll play a critical role in ensuring Highgate delivers on its promise of speed, accuracy and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations
n
n
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put‐away, picking, packing and dispatch.
n
Ensure all inventory movements are processed accurately and efficiently.
n
Allocate resources and manage workflows to meet customer and operational deadlines.
n
Maintain warehouse organisation, cleanliness and operational efficiency.
n
Ensure all warehouse equipment is operated safely and maintained appropriately.
n
n
Inventory Management
n
n
Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy across all warehouse stock.
n
Manage cycle counting programs, stocktakes and inventory audits.
n
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner.
n
Ensure products are stored, handled and protected according to company standards.
n
Support inventory optimisation initiatives to improve availability and minimise stock loss.
n
n
Team Leadership
n
n
Lead, coach and develop warehouse team members.
n
Foster a positive, high‐performance culture built on accountability and teamwork.
n
Conduct performance discussions and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
n
Assist with workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation.
n
Promote employee engagement, safety awareness and continuous improvement.
n

Safety & Compliance
n
n
Drive a strong safety‐first culture across warehouse operations.
n
Ensure compliance with WHS policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
n
Conduct toolbox talks, safety inspections and risk assessments.
n
Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, implementing corrective actions where required.
n
Maintain compliance with all warehouse and material handling requirements.
n

Logistics & Cross‐Functional Coordination
n
n
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities.
n
Liaise with suppliers, transport providers and internal stakeholders.
n
Partner closely with Purchasing, Operations, Service and Projects teams to ensure product availability and customer requirements are met.
n
Monitor delivery performance and support continuous supply chain improvements.
n

Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
n
Support the implementation and optimisation of warehouse systems and technology.
n
Develop and maintain best‐practice warehouse procedures and processes.

Contribute to operational improvement initiatives across the business.

About You
n
You are an experienced warehouse leader who thrives in a fast‐paced environment and takes pride in building high‐performing teams and efficient operations.
n
You bring:
n
n
Proven experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or similar leadership role.
n
Strong inventory management and warehouse operations experience.
n
Experience leading, mentoring and developing warehouse teams.
n
Sound understanding of warehouse systems, inventory controls and ERP platforms.
n
Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making capabilities.
n
Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
n
A safety‐first mindset and commitment to WHS compliance.
n
Forklift licence (preferred).
n
Experience in industrial, automotive, manufacturing, distribution or technical product environments will be highly regarded.
