Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional graduate lawyer to work on a part time (4 day per week basis) closely with our senior lawyers in a unique role on a part time basis combining legal work, executive assistance and the development of AI-enabled legal workflows.

The role
n
You will act as a trusted right hand, helping manage a demanding workload and ensuring that matters, communications and priorities progress efficiently.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
conducting legal research and preparing concise, accurate summaries;
n
assisting with drafting, reviewing and proofreading legal documents and correspondence;
n
managing tasks, deadlines, calendars, emails and follow-ups;
n
organising matter files, precedents, knowledge resources and meeting materials;
n
taking notes and converting discussions into transparent actions;
n
coordinating with clients, colleagues and external parties;
n
identifying opportunities to improve legal and administrative processes;
n
operating, testing and refining AI-assisted legal workflows;
n
helping develop templates, automations and quality-control procedures;
n
checking AI-generated work carefully for accuracy, confidentiality and legal risk and providing test results and feedback.

The balance between legal,
operational and administrative work will vary according to priorities. No task should be considered beneath the successful candidate - the purpose of the role is to make our lawyers and practice substantially more effective.

About you
n
You will have:
n
n
a law degree with outstanding academic results;
n
eligibility for admission, or recent admission, as an Australian lawyer;
n
exceptional written English and attention to detail;
n
strong legal research, analytical and drafting skills;
n
excellent organisation and an ability to manage competing priorities;
n
sound judgment, discretion and respect for confidentiality;
n
confidence taking ownership of tasks and following them through;
n
a practical, service-oriented mindset;
n
genuine interest in AI, automation and the future of legal practice; and
n
the ability to learn unfamiliar technology quickly.
n
n
Experience with generative AI, workflow automation, document systems or software development is desirable but not essential. Intellectual curiosity, precision and willingness to learn are more important.
