And because great results come from great teams, we make sure we enjoy the ride along the way.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the State General Manager, the Auction Services Manager leads our local auction administration support team and keeps the engine room of our auctions running - from pre-sale readiness through to post-sale administration and financial workflow follow-up. You'll be the go-to person on the ground, making sure work is prioritised, issues are escalated early, and our national processes are delivered consistently at a local level.
Daily responsibilities include:
Lead, coach and develop a small team across auction coordination, administration, reception and site support
Oversee the auction lifecycle locally — sale readiness checks, handoffs, escalations and workflow controls
Manage local financial workflows including receipting follow-up, refund coordination and payment status visibility

Act as the key escalation and coordination contact for the GM, BDMs and site leadership
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and Customer Service to resolve issues and keep things moving
Spot recurring issues and contribute to process improvement across states and divisions
ABOUT YOU
You are a natural organiser who thrives in a busy, process-driven environment — calm under pressure, across the detail, and quick to escalation when something isn't right.
You will bring:
2+ years' experience in auction operations, administration, shared services or a comparable operational leadership role
Proven experience leading teams in a high-volume setting with multiple stakeholder groups
A strong understanding of auction workflows, sale readiness, operational controls and post-sale administration
Experience with auction management systems (Salesforce or other CRM or online marketplace system is highly desired),or similar operational platforms
Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach
Sound judgement, practical prioritisation and strong follow-through
BENEFITS & PERKS
We offer stocked pantry with Friday site team lunches, free onsite parking, $40 monthly staff voucher, free EAP program, novated lease and superannuation salary sacrifice.
Come as you are - At Slattery Grays Auctions we are proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
