Space To Grow Therapy
Queensland
Job Description
Forest Lake, QLD | Full time, part-time, casual or sub-contract | $80,000–$130,000 + super
n
If you're an OT looking for proper mentorship, a team you actually enjoy working with, and a workplace where you're known as a person, not just a number on a roster, keep reading.
n
At Space to Grow, we take looking after our clients and families seriously. But we think you should be looked after too.
n
That means having a say in your caseload. Having time to actually finish your notes. Being able to speak up when you're stretched. Having colleagues who notice when you've had a big day. And working somewhere that still knows how to have a laugh — we see kids here, so why not have fun working too?
n
Who we are
n
Space to Grow is a paediatric and adult Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy clinic based in Forest Lake, and one of only a handful of dedicated allied health therapy services in the area.
n
We work with children, young people and adults across neurological, behavioural and developmental needs. Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based and play-based, with a focus on creating a safe space for children and their families to grow.
n
We're also a small, close-knit team, and we want to keep it that way as we grow.
n
You'll know the people you work with. Your ideas will be heard. You'll have genuine input into how we do things.
n
What makes us different?
n
n
Consistent Mentorship. You'll receive consistent supervision from a clinician with 20+ years' experience. Whether you're a new grad finding your feet or 1–2 years in and ready for more autonomy, you'll have someone in your corner.
n
We protect your time. One hour of protected admin time every Friday afternoon, plus billable time built in for notes and planning.
n
You choose how you work. Full-time,
part-time, casual, or sub-contract with an attractive percentage split, whatever suits your life right now.
n
Well-resourced clinic, easy days. Furnished and fully equipped therapy rooms, parking out front, and a bakery next door for the days that require emergency pastries.
n
n
The role:
n
n
Comprehensive OT assessment and ongoing therapy
n
Working collaboratively with families and our multidisciplinary team
n
Clinic, home, school and daycare visits
n
Regular supervision and mentoring built into your work
n
Developing a caseload that reflects your interests and strengths
n
Genuine input into how our services evolve as Space to Grow continues to grow
n
n
What we offer:
n
n
Salary $80,000–$130,000 + super, depending on experience and negotiable for the right person
n
Sign-on bonus, paid half on commencement and half after probation
n
Relocation assistance for the right interstate or out-of-area candidate
n
Sub-contractor option with an attractive percentage split, if that suits you better
n
$1,500 annual PD budget + dedicated PD leave days (full-time)
n
Performance bonus: meet and exceed your KPIs and share the upside as cash, extra leave, or gift cards, your choice
n
A paid day off for your birthday
n
Kilometre reimbursement for home, daycare and school visits
n
Autonomy over your calendar and your caseload
n
n
Who you are:
n
n
A qualified, AHPRA-registered Occupational Therapist, ideally 1–2 years' experience — recent grads warmly encouraged, we'll support you properly
n
Believes in strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming practice
n
Organised, communicative, and comfortable working across clinic, home and community settings
n
Is looking for somewhere they can grow with, not just their next job
