Kahii's bar is looking for casual floor staff to join our award-winning team!
Your main goal in this position is to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and deliver an outstanding experience from the first welcome to the last drink.
You'll be responsible for tasks such as taking orders, recommending cocktails and dishes based on guests' tastes, delivering food and drinks to the floor, and accepting payments — all as part of creating a great guest experience at every moment.
Venue:
Kahii is a Japanese-inspired venue in a heritage space on Kent Street, Sydney — a kissaten-style café by day and a cocktail bar by night.
As a team member you'll work alongside passionate, creative people who care deeply about hospitality, coffee and drinks.
Our cocktail programme is driven by an experienced team and spans seasonal tea- and coffee-inspired cocktails, classics, and a considered list of sake, whisky, shochu, wine and more.
The food offering is crafted by the kitchen at our sister venue, Kuro (368 Kent St), so guests can enjoy quality Japanese-influenced plates alongside their drinks.
Kahii runs a busy evening and weekend trade, with collaborations and events throughout the year.
Benefits of the role include:
Ongoing training and development
A supportive, creative team environment
Staff discounts at Kahii and our sister venue Kuro

Check the quality and presentation of drinks and dishes before they reach the guest
Identify and resolve any special requirements, wants or needs of guests
Handle complaints professionally
Deliver checks and accept payment
Work closely with the bar, floor and Kuro team
Key attributes of the successful candidate:
Previous hospitality floor experience in a busy café, bar or restaurant
Genuine knowledge of and passion for cocktails, coffee, wine and food
Confidence with a POS / ordering system
An unwavering commitment to a professional, memorable guest experience
Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
