Reporting Manager Head of Learning Enrichment Junior School
Role Purpose All teachers have the responsibility to support Danebank's aspiration and intent, upholding its core values and Christian foundation.The Learning Enrichment Teacher, as part of a wider Learning EnrichmentTeam, will work with Junior School Students in Literacy Learning support,identifying students' learning needs and administering and coordinatingsupport programs for students.The Learning Enrichment teacher delivers an inspiring and differentiatedlearning program through high quality teaching in order to develop deepunderstanding and develop students as reflective and powerful learners.The teacher ensures professional compliance, supports policy and followsschool procedures and systems.Every teacher is expected to be involved in the learning, student care,outdoor education and co-curricular programs as these are pivotal to theholistic development of each student.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Actively support the Christian ethos of the school, modelling a Christianexample in all activities.Create inclusive, safe and supportive learning environments that modelTeaching and Learning
Maintain a sound understanding of the content and structure of the NESA curriculum and contemporary learning.
Support students to learn how to learn, developing individuals asself directed, powerful learners.
Plan and teach well-sequenced teaching and learning programsthat engage students and promote learning.
Provide rigorous academic learning, supporting students to achievetheir personal best and pursue learning growth throughpersonalisation of learning.
Implement best practice teaching and learning strategiesappropriate to the learning of the girls.
Monitor and assess student learning and growth and analyse datato inform and improve teaching practice.
Inspire and engage students and to develop in them a love andappreciation of mathematics.
Ensure that positive and constructive feedback is provided tostudents in a timely manner to improve the students'
Maintain all administrative records to a high standard includingprogrammes and registers, attendance, wellbeing, NCCD,assessment and reports.
Review and action incoming studentreferrals.
Identify and monitor incoming EAL/D students via a range ofspecialised assessment tools including formal and informal,diagnostic and formative assessments.
Create and update EAL/D student Learning Profiles and ESL Scales.
Determine the need for students to be supported for the EAL/Dsmall group program.
Provide a New Arrival Program for students who are new toAustralia and provide resources and lesson adaptations for theirclass teachers.
Provide Stage 2 and Stage 3 EAL/D programs which advance theprogression level of Oral Interaction, Reading and Responding andWriting across all KLAs.
Produce or purchase resources required for the EAL/D program.
Lead small group instruction and work collaboratively with teachers in the classroom.
Support classroom teachers in the implementation of personalised
Work closely with the students and parents in conjunction with our Junior School bilingual teacher's aide.
Attend parent/teacher interviews, stage, faculty, and school meetings as required.
Share updates to EAL/D policy and procedures and Professional Development opportunities with staff.
Work in partnership with teachers to implement aspects of learning plans for groups of students.
Lead small group instruction.
Adapt lessons for individual students under the guidance of their subject teachers.
Share knowledge and resources, develop skills and ensure bestpractice principles are applied across the Junior School and Danebank's professional learning community.
Actively seek appropriate and timely career development.
Engage in the regular performance appraisal process and professional development practices of the school.
Participate in accreditation processes.
Possess effective communication skills and relate well with allstudents, teachers, and PAOS
Able to work to deadlines while maintaining a standard of

Work in collaboration with Stage Coordinators and departmentalcolleagues to address student management and behavioural issues.
Work collaboratively to deliver the Student Wellbeing programs,refer students to specialist staff where required and liaise withmiddle leaders as appropriate.
Establish rapport with students and provide ongoingencouragement to support students' emotional and social.
Maintain professional confidentiality on information about students.
Provide the appropriate duty of care and supervision of students.
Professional Development
Share knowledge and resources, develop skills and ensure bestpractice principles are applied across the Junior School andDanebank's professional learning community.
Actively seek appropriate and timely professional development.
Engage in the regular performance appraisal process and professional development practices of the school.

Communication and Engagement
Establish and maintain effective and respectful relationships withstudents, staff and parents.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers.
Plan and participate in excursions.
Respond to parent enquiries regarding curriculum and student matters in a timely manner to ensure positive outcomes for
Prepare meaningful feedback and reports regularly to students andparents.
Be available to assist students out of class where needed, vianegotiation between teacher and students.
Attend chapel services
Attend other School events (e.g. theatre productions) and maintain an active connection with the broader community.

Experience
A commitment to the Christian mission of Danebank,demonstrating a commitment to Christian teaching practice.
Essential Qualifications
Qualification in education
Accredited with NESA
Working with Children check required
Qualification in Teaching English to speakers of other languages (e.g. TESOL)
Experience teaching Stages 2 and 3 EALD.
